After you’ve installed our app, the first page you will see is Recom.ai Home Screen with general statistics on the app’s performance:

In the left side menu, select the Upsells tab. This is going to bring you to the main working space that contains all currently active upsell offers. Here, you can create a new Upsell offer by clicking + Add

Step#1. Set trigger conditions for your offer

We’ll start by setting up offers trigger conditions based on the number of items in the shopping cart or the dollar value of the purchase.

Alternatively, you can select products manually. In this case, your upsell pop-up will be showcased when a customer adds a specific product to their cart.

Step#2. Set products that will be delivered as upsells

The app’s AI-engine can automatically generate a list of recommended products based on what’s currently in their shopping cart. Don’t forget to specify the number of items that will be displayed in the pop-up.

Recommendation engines are great. But not all of your customers make purchases guided by the same principles. To offer very specific suggestions to your customers, you can select the products which you want to upsell.

 Step#3. Add a discount in a certain amount or % 

Encourage your customer to complete the sale with an added incentive such as a discount. Once you’ve set a discount, the next step is to hit Publish.

As the last step, you test the upsell pop-up on your webstore. When checking the offer, make sure that the right products trigger the offer and the correct items show up in the upsell window. 

Based on the number of upsell offers, your pop-up should look like this:
